Rick Rosenthal

Rick Rosenthal is a Senior Institutional Client Portfolio Manager on PFM Asset Management’s OCIO Team. Rick specializes in the management of investment assets as a fiduciary agent for a select group of institutional clients. With over 25 years of industry experience, Rick guides clients in the establishment of investment policies and then implements customized strategies using a wide variety of investment solutions.

Rick joined PFM Asset Management in 2023 when U.S. Bank consolidated all institutional client investment management resources under its U.S. Bancorp Asset Management subsidiary. Since joining U.S. Bank’s Institutional Asset Management team in 2012, Rick has managed portfolios for cities, counties, corporations, universities, school districts, multiemployer pension plans, foundations, and charitable organizations. He is based in Chicago and primarily serves clients in the western United States.

Prior to joining U.S. Bank, Rick worked as a portfolio manager at City National Asset Management, specializing in the research, analysis, selection, and trading of equity securities. He also managed client portfolios and served as a fund manager for an institutional diversified equity mutual fund. Earlier in his career, Rick managed equity and fixed income assets with Northern Trust and held investment management positions at Metropolitan West Asset Management, Pacific Investment Management Company (PIMCO), and Paine Webber.
