Michael joined PFM Asset Management in January 2015. He has more than 40 years of experience in the financial industry advising higher education, municipalities, endowments, foundations, corporate working capital and pension plans. His responsibilities include helping clients create and evaluate investment policy statements, understand risk profile and investment objectives, determine appropriate asset allocation, manager evaluation, performance measurement and providing portfolio guidance to help clients reach financial goals. Prior to joining the firm, Michael spent 32 years with JP Morgan and Wells Fargo Advisors in a variety of roles advising institutional investors.

Michael is an active member of the Michigan Association of Public Employee Retirement Systems, the Council of Michigan Foundations, the Council on Foundations, Michigan Government Finance Officers Association, Philanthropy Ohio, Central Association of College and University Business Officers and Ohio Association of College and University Business Officers.

Michael serves on the Board of Directors of Volunteers of America Michigan and currently is actively involved with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
