Eric Thole

Eric is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and President of U.S. Bancorp Asset Management (since June 2014). He also serves as President of First American Funds. He is a co-chair of U.S. Bancorp Asset Management’s Investment Practices Committee and a member of its Internal Compliance & Controls Committee. Eric serves on the executive leadership team of U.S. Bank’s Global Markets and Specialized Finance division. He is an active participant in the Investment Company Institute (ICI) and member of the ICI’s Money Market Funds Advisory and Diversity & Inclusion Committees.

Prior to his appointment as CEO of U.S. Bancorp Asset Management, Eric served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of U.S. Bancorp Asset Management and Vice President of First American Funds. As COO, he was responsible for overseeing budgeting, strategic initiatives, investment operations, technology, fund treasury, securities lending administration and vendor management. Eric began his career in the financial industry in 1994, joining U.S. Bancorp Asset Management in 1997.

Eric is a member of the Board of Trustees for Camp Fire Minnesota, a non-profit focused on engaging youth in the outdoors. He received a B.A. in finance from the University of Minnesota – Duluth.
